Cameroon : 40 Years Anniversary, Extraordinary

President Paul Biya bestowed his confidence on Cavaye Yeguie Djibril in the year 1992 when he made him Speaker of the National Assembly of Cameroon. It is important to indicate that before Cavaye Yeguie Djibril became Speaker, he held high level positions such as; Questor and Deputy Speaker.

For the thirty years that the Rt. Hon Speaker has occupied the helm of the National Assembly, he has accompanied the Head of State in all his endeavors of building a democratic, strong and prosperous Cameroon. The Speaker has helped President Paul Biya to pass very compelling Bills that have helped to shape the future of Cameroon over these years.

The President of the Republic has taking the oath of office five  times under the reign of Cavaye Yeguie Djibril as Speaker of the National Assembly (1992 - 1997 - 2004 - 2011 - 2018). The Rt. Hon. Speaker has also being giving the Head of State landslide victories in the Far North Region of Cameroon in all Presidential elections. This is the reason why President Paul Biya went only to the Far North Region during the 2018 Presidential Campaigns.

The Rt. Hon. Speaker has been present in the good, bad and ugly moments of President Paul Biya's reign as President of the Republic of Cameroon. He has stood firm with President Paul Biya and he is no doubt his most trusted, prolific and loyal ally over these years. The cordial and fruitful working relationship that this two statesmen have enjoyed over time can be best described as a political partnership made in heaven.
