Cavaye Yeguie Djibril: The Most Dynamic And Productive MP Of The 2024 Legislative Year 

His dynamism and know-how is no doubt one of the fundamental reasons why the Head of State, President Paul Biya has renewed his confidence in him for a very long time now at the helm of the National Assembly. His achievements speak for him as one of the best Legislators and Speakers  that the Cameroon National Assembly has ever produced. His unbeatable and unmatched record, coupled with his rich  experience, has always made him to strive in all political situations that have ever hit the Law Making Institution of Cameroon under his stewardship. The Right Honourable Cavaye Yeguie Djibril is a leader who leads by example. He distinguished himself again throughout the 2024 Legislative Year as the most diligent, devoted, committed and a team player who made possible the smooth functioning of the National Assembly through his inclusive leadership style. Records indicate that the  Speaker presided all the  Chairmen Conferences of the 2024 Legislative Year which sometimes took place in the early hours of the morning. His arrival on time in all the Sittings was a message, a lesson and above all an inspiration to all those who admire the great leader that he is. Apart from presiding Chairmen Conferences,  he also chaired a good number of Communication of Bills Plenary Sittings.  The Speaker was also heavily involved throughout the year in presiding Plenary Sittings for the adoption of some sensitive Bills. In such situations, he brought upon his wealth of experience to navigate the proceedings which were  sometimes very tough. He must also be commended on how he used his tact and mastery to ease tensions created around oral questions Plenary Sittings. The Speaker also presided over special Plenary Sittings such as the 2024 Children's Parliament and the opening Plenary Sitting of the 30th African Regional Assembly Meeting of Francophie Parliaments that was held in Yaounde, Cameroon. One of the major Legislative work that the Right Honourable Speaker accomplished in flying colours in the 2024 Legislative Year was the presiding of the third and fourth Congresses of Parliament which were to receive the oath of office first for the ten Members of the Constitutional Council who were available during the third Congress and that of Mme. Arrey Florence Rita in the fourth Congress due to her unavoidable absence during the third Congress.  The Speaker ensured a smooth organization of the Congresses and he scored a very high mark for himself based on the dexterity in which he handled the proceedings on the D-Days. On  Constituency Actions, the Speaker made headline news from January to December. He carried out consistent, precise and life-saving activities for his people. His activities were focused in the domain of healthcare, poverty alleviation, food sufficiency, peace building, politics and sports. In fact he left no stone unturned to make sure that his people's social needs were met throughout the year. It is important to note that the Right Honourable Speaker was also very active in the Diplomatic front. He granted audiences to a good number of Diplomats with whom he discussed the promotion, consolidation and expansion of Parliamentary Diplomatic ties. He crowned his Diplomatic efforts last year with a landmark visit to Morocco where he held high-level talks with his Moroccan counterpart on whose invitation he visited the Country. It is also now imbedded in  records that after five years of constant follow-up of every aspect of the construction of the New National Assembly Complex, the Right Honourable Speaker inaugurated the  Building in his capacity as the personal representative of the Head of State, President Paul Biya on 30 November 2024. The follow-up and inauguration of this Complex is no doubt one of the blueprints of the  leadership of the Right Honourable Cavaye Yeguie Djibril as Speaker of the National Assembly. The records are thus fair to say that the Right Honourable Cavaye Yeguie Djibril was indeed the most dynamic and productive Member of the National Assembly for the 2024 Legislative Year.
