An information and discussion session was held today in the lower house of parliament on the role of parliamentarians in the face of developments in digital technologies and the impact of social networks on human rights in Cameroon.

The Parliamentary Network of Telecommunications,  Information, Communication and  Technologies (REPATIC) which has as President,  Hon. Bara Julien as President and the  Parliamentary Network  for the Promotion of Human Rights and Cyber Security (REPRODHOCY) headed by Hon. Zondol Herssesse, organized today at the hemicycle of the conference center, an Information and Exchange Plenary Sitting for Members of Parliament which focused on the role of MPs in the face of Digital Technologies and the Impact of Social Networks on Human Rights in Cameroon. 

It was in the presence of the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, Mme. Minette Libom Li Likeng and the Representative of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) Jean Jacques Massina. The presentations were made in two phases, notably on the Role of Parliamentarians in the face of evolving digital technologies and the impact of social networks on human rights, 

This was followed by exchanges that were  moderated by Hon.  Kamsouloum Abba Kabir. Recommendations were adopted at the end of the meeting. The plenary sitting was chaired by Hon. Datouo Théodore, Deputy Speaker.
