WORLD EVENTS : Power dialectics and influence as a strategic function

We were familiar with the old strategic functions, whose purpose is to outline and give substance to the defence and security operations of a State, its components and interests.

These include: knowledge and anticipation, prevention, deterrence, protection and, finally, intervention. This chronological plan is likely to fluctuate according to the frequency of changes in the posture to be adopted in the face of a possible or real threat. This has always been the case, and everyone could live with the situation, at least as long as the boundaries of the bipolar world were clearly defined.

However, the situation has changed since the fall of the Berlin Wall, the most unexpected consequence of which will not be the dislocation into a few large entities that could easily be aggregated later, but the crumbling of the formerly homogeneous ideological blocs. The sovereignist shockwave that will be spread by this unprecedented upheaval will convince the formerly dominated to establish a new system of more flexible and egalitarian relations, effectively taking the opposite view to that of the former holders of the monopoly on the course of world affairs.

And although some of the leading powers have shown pragmatism in trying to adapt to the new situation, others continue to oppose it, channeling all the resources at their disposal into regaining lost ground. With knowledge and anticipation, prevention, deterrence, protection and intervention now proving partially or totally ineffective, a new element will be added to the dialectic of power. Influence will be established as a strategic function.

Without being a discovery, because it has always been present in the manoeuvres of intimidation or seduction, influence has become increasingly aggressive, especially in public. Make no mistake! The reports in the form of fierce accusations, the endless debates and misinterpretations, and the reassuring opinions of experts on the political regimes, economic difficulties and security shortcomings of our countries, are not intended to inform our people, but rather to incite them to rebellion, which will be exploited by our vengeful informers, who are by no means models of excellence or honesty. So let us ask them to put their own house in order.

Intellectual terrorism and social inversion are the main components of this information manoeuvre propagated by the mass media, most of which are owned by wealthy individuals who want to regain the leadership and dominant position they enjoyed in our societies before the advent of competition.

Young people, especially adolescents, are particularly targeted by the promotion of an immoral, reckless and inhumane way of life, a kind of religion that advocates lesbianism, transgenderism, paedocriminality, drug abuse and excessive depigmentation. Like the very often uneducated preachers of obscurantist trends, the many influencers active on social media are there to lure and convert our young people to these unscrupulous practices, the worst being what is supposedly called medically assisted suicide. This reduces our healthcare workers, staunch defenders of life, to terrible executioners, murderers.

In all things, it is important to remember that we have our own nature, feelings and reasoning, without having to subscribe to the lifestyles of a foreign land that seems to have lost its humanity and with it the desire for eternity.
