Rep-cod visites, encourages Cameroonians from abroad investing in Cameroon

Member of the Parliamenry network for the Diaspora, Decentralised and Cross Border Cooperation were of recent on the field to visit some enterprises that are being run by Cameroonians who have just returned from abroad. The MPs made their first stop at the woodpivot enterprise which deals uniquely on the transform of wood into fine furniture.

Speaking during the guided tour of the structure, Hon. Henri Louis Ngantcha said he was very satisfied to see that some Cameroonians living abroad have answered the call of the Head of State, H. E. President Paul Biya for them to come back and invest in their Country of origin. He also said the production of office and home furnitures being produced by woodpivot will go a long way to reduce the importation of these products from abroad.

He said this will definitely increase the consumption of made in Cameroon products which is the wish of the Head of State. He used the opportunity to encourage the promoter of the enterprise who is just back from Germany to continue in his efforts of feeding the local market and offering jobs to Cameroonians.

Hon. Otte Andrew, Vice President of the network also added his voice to encourage the entrepreneur for the work that he is doing. The MPs were shown around the entire production chain and their visit ended were  finished products have been displayed. The products that were shown to them include; beds, dinning tables, home and office cupboards, windows and  doors just to name a few.  It was noticed that the company is using state of the art materials and the company has employed more than 40 Cameroonians.

The next phase of the field mission was at a company which is incharge of legal matters, taxation, accounting and financing of enterprises. Their main mission is to provide Cameroonians  assistance in Legal matters. The promoter of this enterprise is Mr. Samuel Tchidjo, juriste. The promoter noted that his firm is ready to provide expertise to Cameroonians living abroad who are willing to invest in Cameroon as he has done. They are offering services such as: techniques of writing contracts, techniques of modifying contracts and education on the rights of workers just to name these.
